Tenterden is a traditional market town situated in the picturesque weald of Kent known as the garden of England. Today winding narrow lanes lead you through the countryside’s rich legacy of historic buildings, sublime gardens, vineyards and villages untouched by modern life. The weald of Kent is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty watered by the rivers Stour, Rother, and Beult. Little Dane Court sits in the centre of this tree lined town which has many antique shops and fine jewellers, up-market clothes shops and traditional pubs and tea rooms for that essential "rest stop" when you explore the town.
The traditional but very light rooms come with all modern facilities including large bathrooms with baths and showers, flat screen TVs, Teasmaid alarms and memory foam mattresses. Beds are covered with Chinese silk duvets which prevent allergies and wireless internet is available throughout.
Select from a superkingsize double room with en suite bathroom, a twin/double room with luxury en-suite bathroom, and a twin room and ajoining single room and shared bathroom, or Katsura cottage in the garden, furnished in traditional Japanese style with memory foam futons, featuring a lounge, bedroom and bathroom.
The guest lounge has a large TV, a study/work area, a small library including local information and maps, and a corner just to sit and watch the world go by. Over the road there is a large sports centre in the park with fitness and swimming amenties and the high street shops and supermarkets are literally 2 minutes from the front door.
The dining room is in the oldest part of the house with large inglenook fireplace and guests can select a full English, Japanese, or Continental Breakfas using local organic produce and homemade preserves where possible. Breakfast may be taken 'al fresco' in the delightful courtyard weather permitting and evening barbecues often happen on Saturday nights.
